From the very beginning, Maria and Brandon’s wedding day felt incredibly meaningful. The day began at Maria’s church, where everyone got ready and spent the morning together before the ceremony. There was such a calm and joyful energy as the day unfolded in a place that clearly meant so much to Maria.
If you’ve seen any photos on our social media from this wedding, you know there is one really cool detail they included. I remember having a phone call with Maria about some timeline details, and during that call she shared that they wanted to incorporate the Lord of the Rings sword into their wedding day—and… guys… immediately yes! I couldn’t wait to see this. It ended up being one of the most memorable and talked-about details of the entire wedding and added such a fun and unforgettable element to the day.
Before the ceremony began, we took a few minutes for Maria to play the piano with her piano teacher. She also played a song by herself. Maria is incredibly talented, and I truly could have listened to her play for hours. This moment gave me some of my favorite photos!
One thing that stood out all day long was how unbelievably sweet both Maria and Brandon’s families are. The love and support surrounding these two was undeniable, and it made every moment feel that much more meaningful. Their bridesmaids and groomsmen deserve a huge shoutout as well—what a fun group! They played such a big role in making the day joyful and relaxed, and they were genuinely amazing to spend the day with. You could feel the friendships and laughter in every interaction.
The celebration continued at the reception at The Grove at the Franklin Park Conservatory—a stunning rooftop garden that creates the most beautiful setting for a wedding. After being announced, Maria and Brandon shared their first dance in front of the Celebration Garden to “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman. And then… Brandon lifted her mid-song. With the sun shining behind them, the gorgeous location, and that cinematic moment, it truly felt like a scene straight out of a movie. Absolute magic!
And now… one of my favorite parts of the day—they cut their cake with the sword. Yes, that sword! An absolutely epic moment and one we will never forget. They definitely won the award for the coolest way to cut a wedding cake.
The night ended exactly the way it should—dancing under the lights on the rooftop, surrounded by their closest friends and family. This wedding was filled with so many personal, meaningful, and unique touches, and I loved every single one of them.
Maria and Brandon, thank you so much for choosing us to be part of your wedding day! It was truly beautiful from start to finish and one we’ll always remember.
