When I first heard about Bethany and Caleb’s engagement session idea—at their own property, with a stunning pond and mountains in the background—I knew we were in for something special. I mean, come on, who wouldn’t want to have their love captured in the midst of fall colors, surrounded by nature’s beauty, with the mountains standing tall as the perfect backdrop? Spoiler alert: It was everything we imagined and more. Stay tuned for the best blooper photo at the end!  


If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that fall engagement sessions are always a win. The crisp air, the golden light, and, of course, the foliage that turns the world into a beautiful palette of oranges, reds, and yellows—what’s not to love? But when you add a private property with a peaceful pond and those majestic mountains in the distance? Now we’re talking.

Bethany and Caleb’s property was nothing short of magical. As soon as I arrived, I could feel the charm of the place—it’s one of those locations where you can’t help but smile because it just feels like home. And the best part? The couple was just as in love with their surroundings as they are with each other, which made for an incredibly relaxed and fun session.

Pond-side Perfection

We started by the pond, where the reflections of the colorful fall trees danced across the water’s surface. Bethany and Caleb were in their element—walking hand-in-hand, chatting, and stealing little glances at each other like it was just the two of them in the world. And let me tell you, they are adorable. They had this effortless, playful vibe that made it so easy to capture real, genuine moments. How they got around the pond made for the best blooper photo! So, stay for the ending!


The setting was perfect! As if the pond wasn’t enough, the landscape was—mountains towering in the distance with the fading golden hour light casting the perfect glow. It was like nature was putting on a show just for us, and Bethany and Caleb were absolutely glowing in it.

The combination of the rich fall colors, the mountain backdrop, and the natural connection between these two made every shot feel like a piece of art. Whether we were standing in a field of tall grass or walking hand-in-hand, it felt like magic.

The best part? We had the whole place to ourselves. No crowds, no distractions, just Bethany and Caleb, soaking in the moment. And honestly, that’s what made this session so incredible. It was all about them and their love.


One of my favorite things about this session was how personal it was. There’s something so special about photographing a couple in a place that means something to them. This property was more than just a pretty setting—it was a part of Bethany and Caleb’s story.  From start to finish, Bethany and Caleb’s engagement session was filled with joy, laughter, and so many sweet moments. These two have something special—a connection that’s easy to see and impossible to ignore. I feel so grateful to have been able to capture their love in such a beautiful setting, and I’m already counting down the days until their wedding!


Bethany and Caleb, thank you for allowing me to capture such a wonderful chapter of your love story. You two are going to have the most amazing wedding, and I’m so lucky to be part of it.
